Back from London

Suffice it to say, things didn't go well and my father passed away on 20th October. It would have been as he wanted it - quick and painless. I just wish I'd been able to talk to him. Last time we spoke was mid-September, a week or so before he went into hospital. By the time I was there, we was fully sedated and probably had no knowledge of my presence. The hospital staff were wonderful but there wasn't really anything they could do.

Still feeling very numb and confused as if it hasn't really happened. I think we're all hoping he'll walk in the door at any moment but he won't.

It's nice to be home but I think tomorrow might be a bad day as, for the last few weeks, I've been surrounded by family (immediate and extended). Sunday will be the first day "on my own". Going to be strange waking up with noone else around.

Gone to London

My father had a stroke Friday night. He's in the ICU...guess it was a good thing that they moved him to a different hospital before this happened. Seems to be getting the best care he can get but there's still no diagnosis.

I was feeling better about life when I woke up yesterday. Then this happened.
